Pink Satin Butterfly

I've completed one of two twin size quilts that include a satin comforter. This quilt is made up of t-shirts and a pink satin comforter with butterflies from Korea. Their dad is in the military and was stationed in Korea so these are great keepsakes for a memory quilt. There are 3 blocks made from the comforter and ALL the sashing is satin, which was a challenge but beautiful!

Cyclist T-Shirt Quilt

This is my latest quilt for a friends son who is a cyclist. The smaller squares are made from the extra t-shirt fabric which is a customization I thought of as I was looking for like colors. Some of the reasons you should chose MBRquilts for your quilts is that I can customize what you like or what I think will make the best looking quilt.

  I also used variegated blue thread throughout the quilt where other websites will use plain colors. The back of the quilt is a fabric of cyclists in a race that I found online! Also, another aspect of having quilt made by me, other websites will have you chose from a list of plain colors. 

Pink Modern Baby Girl Quilt

Bright flowers of orange, turquoise, and lime green in various patterned 100% cotton fabric are set on a medium pink matelasse cotton background. The flowers range in size from 4 inches to 10 inches in width and have been machine appliqued using matching colored thread. The quilt is 43 by 51 inches. The background has been quilted using matching pink thread and the binding incorporates the flower colors. Perfect as a throw size or baby quilt.

* Traditional T-shirt Quilt

Your t-shirt quilt will be sewn in a grid pattern where blocks have fabric sashing. The setting will depend upon the number of shirts to be used. For example: a twin sized quilt using 20 shirts would be set with 4 blocks across and 5 blocks down.

* Contemporary T-shirt Quilt

Your t-shirt quilt will have a more contemporary look where block size can vary and can be set on a contrast color and the angle of the block may vary.

* Pricing is for a finished, machine quilted t-shirt quilt. You provide the t-shirts to be used along with this order form, and I will provide the materials and labor for your keepsake quilt.

Placemats

I have been making these for myself for awhile now but thought I would make some for my Etsy account. There are two different color schemes with 6 placemats in each group:

Pastel quilted rectangle shaped placemats made using the Moda fabric line Verna. Pastel colors include eight charm squares in various combinations of soft blues, sage greens, coral, raspberry, soft pink, and muted brown. Each of the six placemats are made with 100% cotton fabric and batting and are machine quilted with a pastel variegated thread. The placemats can be machine washed and dried.
 
 

 
A variety of Sandy Gervais earth-toned colored fabrics were used to make these 100% cotton placemats. Some of the colors used in each placemat are olive and deep sage green, browns, orange and pumpkin, golden beige and teal. The placemats are machine quilted with gold thread and can be machine washed and dried.

Flower Garden Baby Quilt

This is the other baby quilt I'm working on. It's called Love Birds but I've taken out the birds and just left the flowers and lady bugs. Did anyone follow this pattern? The pattern is a huge quilt so I've changed it to be "baby sized." Some ladies who saw the quilt said they would never put a baby on it, it would have to be a wall hanging and that's ok too!
